What is Inspire?
Inspire is an FDA-approved, minimally invasive treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Instead of using external air pressure like CPAP, Inspire works from inside the body to keep the airway open during sleep. It helps you breathe naturally during sleep by gently stimulating the airway muscles to keep the throat open — all without a mask, hose, or external components.
*****More than 125,000 people worldwide have chosen Inspire therapy to improve their sleep and quality of life.
How does Inspire Work?
Inspire therapy uses a small device placed during a short outpatient procedure. It includes two components:
- A neurostimulator implanted below the skin in the upper chest
- A stimulation lead that connects to the hypoglossal nerve
When you breathe in, Inspire gently opens your airway—helping you breathe naturally and sleep deeply. Simply turn the system on with a handheld remote before bed and turn it off in the morning.
