What can I expect during a pediatric ENT appointment?

You can expect a compassionate evaluation when you bring your child to ENT Specialists. The team understands that children have special health needs and smaller body parts and uses equipment designed specifically for children to minimize discomfort and anxiety.

During your child’s pediatric ENT appointment, your provider asks detailed questions about your child’s symptoms, medical and family history, and current and past treatments. Your specialist then performs a physical exam focused on the ear, nose, or throat.

Diagnostic testing may be requested to better understand your child’s condition, such as a hearing test or swallow evaluation. ENT Specialists has the MiniCAT™ scanner, which is a diagnostic imaging tool that creates high-resolution images of your child’s sinuses and ears.

The full-service ENT practice even has a special hearing booth that can properly diagnose hearing loss in infants.

What are pediatric ENT treatments?

Pediatric ENT treatments vary depending on your child’s diagnosis and needs. ENT Specialists offers many therapies and treatments to meet your child’s needs, including hearing aids for hearing loss and treatment for allergies.

The pediatric ENT team also performs surgical procedures when necessary, including placement of ear tubes for the management of chronic ear infections and tonsillectomies to treat chronic throat infections.
