When a study was done to check how loud the noise is that teens are listening to their earbuds, it was found to be around 110 decibels. That is close to having a chainsaw running in your ear! That is extremely loud and can cause damage to any person’s ear.

How to Prevent Hearing Loss

If you are someone that wants to listen to earbuds or headphones you want to limit the amount of time that you are using them. It is best to not go over an hour in time and keep the level to under 60% of the volume. When you can it is also best to listen to sound and music from the speakers rather than anything that goes over or in the ear.
